I've been up in this area 3 times. Twice to hike Browns Peak, and once to attempt all 4 peaks, although we only got the 2 southern peaks done. To do them we got near the Amethyst mine, but never checked it out. So, yet I have heard about the mine and that it's the best Amethyst mine in the country. I'll brobably never be back in the area since I no longer live in AZ. If I do go back it will brobably go just to hike Browns Peak again.
