I've spent a lot of time in the Canyon hoping to see a condor, but not yet. Maybe this summer. You're very priveleged. Nice, nice shot!

One of the things that helped drive this species nearly to extinction is that they have little fear of people. I, too, have been this close to one, and had mixed feelings about whether or not I wanted it to fly away.

We saw 3 of the things circling above at the same spot you took these. They are enormous and rare, must have been quite a moment.

Awesome photo! The only place I've seen condors is near Big Sur, CA - we saw 10 or so but I didn't get any neat up close shots like you did.

I've seen a few condors in the Pinnacles (and heard a few stories about people being dive bombed by them while climbing) but haven't been able to take any pictures. They are amazing birds to see.
