evening above Lago di Lugano [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
evening above Lago di Lugano
This evening view taken during descent from Monte Grona is my personal favorite picture. Monte Grona (1736m) builds the corner post between the lakes Lago di Como and Lago di Lugano and it offers amazing views to these waters. It also offers a fine via ferrata ("Via ferrata Centenario"). Darkness comes early on a November 4th (1995)

This is a really great pic. I did some hiking in the area last summer during my stay in Santa Maria, a few miles from Menaggio. Great area!!

Yes it's a great area - with a pleasant climate. I did a sunny bicycle trip at the Como lake last Saturday - escaping clouds, snow and cold from Spluga/Spluegen pass.
