The East Face
The East face of Grandes Jorasses towering above the Freboudze glacier. The wedge-like peak on the left is the Aiguille De Tronchey (3495m), where, in 1985, my own lonely attempt at the Tronchey ridge was halted. Not by any technical difficulty - I simply got too scared.
