Big Craggies showing the climbing route. The white rock at the bottom left is not that steep and I climbed it all the way to the summit ridge and then hiked along the ridge to the summit. 25 February 2006

I like this picture but I have no sense of scale when looking at it. This almost looks like a big boulder blocking the path, not a mountain. Cool picture!

The mountain is about 1/2 mile away and the white rocks is the light colored area in the bottom left. From this vantage point you have to descend about 400 ft to a saddle and then climb up to the far ridgeline. The vegetation on the mountain was all burned off so there are only little clumps of newly sprouted shrubs and wildflowers.
