The photo might look as if was taken from a helicopter, but actually it was taken from a little below the top of the east summit of la Mèsola, which is only slightly lower than the central summit, but a much less dramatic looking peak. (It may be seen in my wife's "Father and Son on Mèsola" photo, currently number 30 among our highest rated photos.)

This is a beautiful photo. I have never been to Europe, but would love to go someday. There is so much to see and so little time! Maybe when I retire...
