| Thunderstorm over Northern Yosemite | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Rainbow and lightning over (left to right) Tower Peak, Craig Peak, and Snow Peak, viewed from the saddle between Haystack Peak and Schofield Peak. The picture doesn't do justice to one of the most unusual and spectacular displays I've ever been treated to in the Sierra. July 22, 2006.

Voted 10/10 | I think it does justice (reading from your caption). Very unique and awe-inspiring. Before you even see the lighting in the photo, it draws you in.
It should have been a photo of the week.

Voted 10/10 | a badass picture. Love the orangish tint to the photo, makes the lightning really stand out against the sky. Were you using a filter or is that natural lighting? | | Posted Apr 28, 2009 5:39 pm |

Hasn't voted | No filter, that's what it looked like at the time. I've never seen anything like it before or since. | | Posted May 2, 2009 12:08 am |
