I found out quickly that this alternate route was definately not the "easy" route. For much of its 1-mile length the Underwood Trail passes over terrain like this. My knees were starting to feel it after this. Luckily, the parking area was only about a half mile from here. Sorry for the blurry shot, musta been the knees:)
