Navigation in the icefall [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Navigation in the icefall
A climber on the normal route, walking on huge bridges in between crevasses. Altitude about 5850m.
Muztagh Ata's icefall has a reputation of being free from crevasse danger. Most of the crevasses are large, open and easy to spot but there are hidden ones as well.

Great photo Corax, would have loved to see more back country because there's a beautifull contrast with foreground.

Thanks!
Here's one photo with more back country.
I couldn't resist to have a look around in my photo collection for some more of that kind, so I submitted one more from the icfall.

Thanks turistoalpinista!
Muztagh Ata is one of the more famous mountains in Asia and therefore I thought it deserved a page with a lot of info.
