Route beta: This is what the sandy walkway looks like when you are off-route on Whorl Mountain. The walkway is located above the chockstone on the west side of the ridge and leads to just below the summit. The walkway cannot be reached safely from where this photo was taken without protection. I had to make a short but exposed low Class 5 move to transition back to the east side of the ridge to get to the chockstone and back on route.
