Mount Rainier (center) and Pyramid Peak (right) as seen from just below the false summit of Copper Mountain. Taken with an Olympus C-720 that survived a 70 foot tumble down some class 3 rock. 9-26-06

Looks the same as it did in 1983. It's awesome character ... on Rainier's southwest side. SouthRaker, THANKS for voting on my "GINGHAM SKIRTS BUTTE" picture. Just thought you should know, it's rock is very unstable; contains bentonite or "swelling clay." Happy climbing!!! I WANT AN OLYMPUS camera, please!

Thanks gimp! I think most would agree that fall colors make for some of the best scenery. This is no exception... and it was even more beautiful in person!
