Searching the pass through the glacier

At sunrise a climber searches the way through the crevasses system of the Allalingletscher. Many of the open crevasses are hidden under a 30 cm layer of fresh snow. September 18, 2006.

	Hasn't voted	It is a good tour-sky area...easy to achieve 4000 with skies...beter than walking. The sky route is different than the walking route...Thanks for the comment

	Hasn't voted	I can tell you...it was!!...I fell into crevasses (not the biggest ones which were avoided) about 10 times...luckily we were knowing what we were doing there... We are aware of crevasse rescue technnics...at least I was very aware. We walked with 12 m rope between the three of us and with three safety knots on each segment...pretty safe despite the conditions.
