Hasn't voted | Thank you. It was a glorious evening. Very subtle signs of the incoming storm (that is still raging up there:) | | Posted Oct 2, 2006 8:46 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Spent several summers working out of T.Meadows in the 1980's. You just transported me there. Thanks for the trip. | | Posted Oct 3, 2006 3:25 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Dave. What were you doing in TM when you worked there? | | Posted Oct 5, 2006 3:23 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Worked for a private children's camp which was located near Evergreen, just outside the West side of the park. However, I led backcountry trips and that pretty much meant TM and high country...and whatever we could talk the kids into doing. Took city kids up Lyell, Dana, North, and Clark among many other things-hard to complain about not having t.v. or walkmans when you can't catch your breath ;) | | Posted Oct 6, 2006 6:05 am |

Hasn't voted | You nailed it on that one! What are you shooting with? Perhaps you know the f-stop and shutter speed? Bravo again. | | Posted Oct 3, 2006 3:45 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks. I am shooting with Canon 5D and a selection of professional Canon lenses. I believe that this particular exposure is taken at f/11 and 6 seconds. | | Posted Oct 5, 2006 3:23 pm |

...this one would make it to the front page. I wish I could take such good photo's. I guess I'll need something better than an old Nikon Coolpix though ;-). | | Posted Oct 3, 2006 3:43 pm |

Hasn't voted | Hey just remember, the photographer makes the camera. My old Nikon Coolpix did an awesome job. Check out my Mount Rose page sometime to see a shot done with the cheapest Nikon there is! This photo is great because the photographer has a great eye for what is being captured! Awesome photo and well deserving of photo of the week!!! | | Posted Oct 3, 2006 4:19 pm |

True! All the pics I posted on my profile page have been taken with a coolpix 3500. Some of them did come out pretty nice!
My next camera is definitely a Nikon again! | | Posted Oct 3, 2006 5:47 pm |

Hasn't voted | A very good point. My gear contributes to about 30% of my photos. The rest is timing, preparation, composition, proper exposure, etc. | | Posted Oct 5, 2006 3:25 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Another really beautiful photo!
