Karla Marksa [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Karla Marksa
The high, (6723m) and remote Pik Karla Marksa. Its north face was climbed by Shevchenko in 1976. It's supposedly on of the hardest routes ever climbed and is regarded as one of the forgotten feats of mountaineering.

Very few have visited this area at all. The peaks are remote and most routes on Karla Marksa and neighboring Engels are really hard. I had an idea of trying out Engels, but realized quickly I had no chance with the little gear I'd brought.
I' be back, as Arnold S said :-)

Later I'll scan some more photos of Karla Marksa and Engels.
