Thanks Martin! The axe came courtesy Alois Smrz (aka asmrz on SP). Hope things are going well for you. Seems like you and Radek are getting flooded these past few days :P

We'd love to come up to Index one of these days and look you guys up....

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
I agree - nice shot & nice touch with the axe :)

Oh yeah - it's certainly been "moist" around PNW. Even the usual dry spots on the east side (like SMithy) are getting a soaking.....SUCKS!!

Anyway, best wishes to you guys and our congrats!!
Cheers,
radek

i just write what i feel at the moment.well for this winter it depends on my working calendar but i like to camp on mountains and available high altitude climbs like mount damavand.SE ridge is my favorite because it begins exactly from road side1500m to the top 5670m. it always feel good to hear from you guys.....have fun!

Fortunate are those who marry their best partner! May you two be as happy together as Steve & I have been, in the mountains and in life.

BTW, we too cut our cake w/ an ice axe, as well as left the church under an ice axe "Arch of Steel" (30 rental axes from Mountain Gear). Napkins imprinted "On Belay" w/ names & our wedding date. Cake: all-white frosting, with crystal pillars. Figurines on cake were 'us', roped together with 2mm perlon rope in wedding colors; 1" ice axes stuck into frosting. (Note to self: get job as wedding planner -- but stock EVEN MORE food & beer for ravenous, impoverished climbers, 'cause we ran short!)
