"The Welter", which is nearby to The Wave. Good stuff. Photo taken late in the afternoon on July 5, 2003. You won't get this vibrant view if you visit in the morning as the sun will be on the other side.

Hasn't voted | This was taken late in the afternoon (note that I changed the caption). In the case of this formation, once the sun drops behind the mountain to the west (behind the camera) it wouldn't be as picturesque from a color standpoint. As for the look of the sky at sunset, you might be right. Depends on the weather conditions to the west that evening.
