From the summit looking south at Mt. Hood. Cathedral Ridge is center with Yocum Ridge along the right. Sandy Headwall is between them. North Face of Hood is left of Cathedral Ridge and you can see the bergschrund near the top of the Sunshine Route. Man, what a view!

Hasn't voted | Sorry, two different topics of conversation. This photo was taken in May and I was talking to Radek about this past weekend trying to do the South Side of Hood.
Yeah, at least this past Saturday (12/2/06), the Pearly Gates on the South Side looked near vertical with mixed snow and rock. A belay and protection would have been necessary from what we could see. | | Posted Dec 5, 2006 7:15 am |
