McDonald Peak from the Mission Valley [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
McDonald Peak from the Mission Valley
This is the "standard" shot of McDonald Peak as seen looking east from Hwy 93 while driving the Mission Valley. The peak rises over 6,800 feet from the valley floor! Our route wrapped well around to the right, going almost around the mountain to bring us up on the SE slope. The peak in front (on the right) of McDonald, is Sheepshead (also known as West McDonald Peak). Photo by Vernon, June 27, 2006.

Amazing that I have looked at this peak many times as I drove 93 and didn't realize that I was looking at McDonald Peak.
