Wide Boy, 5.10a, Bluff Street Cracks, St. George, Utah, December- 2006.
Taking leads on Wide Boy, one of six challenging and aesthetic trad cracks known as Bluff Street Cracks, overlooking St. George to the north. Hands to offwidth or layback to hands. Medium to large pro to #4 Camalot.

Voted 10/10 | I am planning a few crack climbing trips in the Spring here. What is the best way to rig a camera to take shots like this? Hasn't voted | That is Joe, he is a local in Zion...put up a few routes around here. Cool guy. I am an alpine climber at heart Tanya, long routes requiring tedious approaches where wildlife and weather awareness is essential. Love waterfall ice as well, the kind of steep sustained routes that can't be found in the lower 48. Canmore offers all that in spades. Spent 6 full years up there. Tore my back (psoas) in half on a 140' lead fall. Back to the US to seek medical treatment and rebuild the thing. I will make it back, but for now enjoying the red rock and sun. At 44, trying to learn to relax a little. Not very good at it though. I do miss the wild country and good folks of the Canadian Rockies. Prob do 6mo-6mo like a good American citizen from now on.
