Wow, where was this taken from? I can't ID the angle, but I'd guess Winchell Lakes area?

It's a telephoto shot from the road. I can't remember which road though, sorry.

Ah, I think I know now. I think it's taken from the south peering up Blanca Basin, and that the impressive wall is part of the Little Bear-Blanca ridge.

Thank you. It is somewhat ironic that this is my number 1 photo, because of all the images I posted this one was one of the easiest to take.
I look forward to more of your pictures.

Todd CaudleThis is not Blanca

It's an awesome shot, but I think this is actually Ellingwood. You can see just the tip of Blanca sticking up behind it, but I am pretty certain this is Ellingwood, as viewed straight up the S. Zapata Creek drainage as viewed from Highway-150 that leads to the dunes. Regardless, it's stunning!

Ok, thanks for telling me. I'll delete this picture soon then. It got more attention than I wanted anyways and it was really easy to shoot.

Don't delete it - it's a great pic and you'll lose your best photo on SP plus those 121 votes! I think you can attach it to what it should be attached to, then detach it from Blanca.

But we do need to figure out for sure what it is. You don't know where you shot it from, but you're sure you were near the Blanca/Ellingwood area, right? Maybe you could just call it Ellingwood and leave it at that. I for one wouldn't complain! -Bob

Thanks Bob. Yes, I'm sure it was near the Blanca/Ellingwood area.
