...one of the best views of Chimborazo I've ever seen! The contrast of blue sky, red rock and white / brownish snow and glacier in the late sunlight is very special! Thanks for sharing - I guess you had a great trip to Ecuador.

Cool! That's an eerie place, what with the headstones. I hit a "wall" and decided against a summit attempt. Rather, I snagged one of our guides for a leisurely slog up to the right of the upper refugio to the Whymper PInnacles for a magnificent sunrise.
