CP looks east to Dove Benchmark (the rightmost of the two peaks). We descended the valley between the two peaks, then went on to "North Castle Butte", a slightly higher peak north (left, and out of the picture). The final route to Dove BM involves perhaps 20 feet of class 5, over fragmented tuff conglomerate/breccia.

Hasn't voted | Most of the post-1954 benchmarks were set by helicopter crews. However, this one appears to have been climbed, from the survey report in 1956. They recommend a rope to haul up equipment.
