17 Prusik and The Temple from the Slopes of Little Annapurna [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
17 Prusik and The Temple from the Slopes of Little Annapurna

The trail up Little Annapurna from the upper Enchantments basin has a touch of scrambling here and there, but is never hard or dangerous. The view here gives a new perspective on Prusik Peak. From down in the lower basin, Prusik dominates; from up here you see it as a point on the left shoulder of The Temple.

That doesn't change the fact that Prusik is a fantastic climb by any of several routes – solid, steep, and exposed, with terrific views. Even if you've climbed it a dozen times, when you're planning your 13th trip to the area, you'll say something like, “OK, we're going to climb Prusik and what else?”
