31 Asgard pass above Colchuck Lake [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
31 Asgard pass above Colchuck Lake

The lake is at 5570 feet, the pass at 7800. The trail is unofficial and unmaintained. It's a grunt. But as Dean says in his Enchantments page, it's the short way into the area, with 2000 feet less elevation gain than starting up Snow Creek.

Shadows are growing long here, and I still have 5.5 miles to hike and 2100 feet to descend to reach the trailhead and my bicycle. Then a few miles of steep gravel and a few miles of asphalt will get me to my car.
