South Prong Mitten [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
South Prong Mitten
The Mitten is found in the South Prong Canyon of Texas' Caprock Canyons State Park. The Caprock is a surprisingly beautiful landscape that few people outside of Texas...or even in Texas...are aware of. A great history of it and its near brush with National Park-hood can be read in Dan Flores' book "Caprock Canyonlands".

"And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever."   --Thomas Jefferson
