Snow Lakes as seen through a...
Snow Lakes as seen through a gap in the East Ridge of McClellan Peak on Sept. 12, 2003. McClellan can be climbed in a long day from the car, but a good place to camp would be at Snow Lakes. Wedge Mountain (6,885 ft) is at upper right.

Klenke, you have lots of great comments with your pics and it would be great if you would write a trip report on your climb of McClellan to share. McClellan isn't climbed all that much and it is one of the better vantage spots in the Enchantments. Thanks for all the pics of this neat peak.

I'll see if I can write a short TR for this climb, which I combined with Little Annapurna. I guess I'm wondering if it would be retreading over the same verbiage given in my picture captions since, as you say, they are full of commentary (unnecesssary or otherwise).

By the way, Eric Hoffman's first name is not spelled with a 'k' at the end (i.e., not Erik but Eric).

Excellent trip report Paul. Nicely done and a very good read with picture links. BTW, when I noticed I had mispelled Eric's name ( I posted his story and pics by his permission), I couldn't alter it on the trip report.

What a great area.

Thanks for the trip report compliment, Dean.

Do you know about the fire in and near Crystal Creek that was going on last week about this time? Information here: Crystal Creek Fire. In particular, click on the photo links (top left corner of page) in the above link. Looks like the drainage immediately east of Crystal Creek (the one on the other side of Nightmare Needles) got the worst of it.

Hello Klenke ,

I found your name at Vid Pogachnik's page. I visit your page and enjoy the Washington's mountains. Thanks a lot. There are many nice photos. I voted some of them.

I like [Snow Lakes (photo_id=55745)] most.
