Voted 10/10 | Nice photo. You seem to do a lot of cross country skiing. I did it once LONG ago in college, but I have the urge to get into it.. maybe even do it once a week. What gear would I need to get started? | | Posted Dec 10, 2007 4:33 pm |

Hasn't voted | My choices of gear have just an extraordinarily horrible reputation, so maybe you shouldn't ask me for an advice :) Just to keep the things as simple as possible, I would recommend waxless skis and not longer than 170s. But the details really depends on what kind of terrain you expect.
Hey - I thought you don't like cold weather ... and the snow is best served cold ;) | | Posted Dec 10, 2007 5:09 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I don't! ... but I still hike in it... hike just about every weekend no matter what the weather. How about boots? I have such a hard time with hiking shoes because my feet are wide (or really my toes spread out like a frog or something) and there is no where here to try them on... so I have to order online. | | Posted Dec 10, 2007 5:24 pm |
 | | MOCKBA | Width is a real issue | |
Hasn't voted | but I am in no position to give you any good advice. I have wide ft and outsized bunyons, and I always end up choosing larger boot sizes and softer boots than anyone could possibly recommend. But it ain't no way to buy online! | | Posted Dec 10, 2007 5:51 pm |

Maybe I could take a run to Brianhead... that's fairly close. :) | | Posted Dec 10, 2007 7:56 pm |
