Whistler is a fun early season climb; typically right after the N Cascades Hwy opens, when covered in snow. Park at the Bridge Creek Trailhead approx 1-1/2 miles E of Rainy Pass. The normal ascent route starts out climbing NW through open forest up a rocky rib (in this photo seen to the right of the twin gullies - center face). Follow this up through breaks in cliff bands then contour N and then NE up to the summit. The descent route glissades the left-hand gully for a couple of thousand feet.
