If you do not use the Kneeknocker Pass route, you will probably be using the Couloir Route up between Peak C and Peak C-Prime via this basin with several tards. There are plenty of places to set up camp here.

AndyWatch out for those 'tards!

In all seriousness, I think humping a full backback up to the tarns wouldn't be worth the effort. We camped just off the Piney Lake Trail where the stream that drains the tarns meets Piney River. It only took us about an hour and twenty minutes to hike the distance up to the tarns with our day packs but it would have been back-breaking work with full packs.

You are probably right. It wasn't that fun hauling our packs up the Kneeknocker Pass trail either. Especially with all of the avalanche debris we had to cross.

Sure did! I had a blast. I posted a couple of pictures and Nelson will post more photos and a route when he gets his filmed developed.
