Pine Mtn Ridge from the summit of Pine to the trail/road--or through Little Fish Fork, then across the divide and down the road--to Columbine Campground, is a wonderful hike through some of the wildest remaining high-country wilderness in the San Gabriels. The problem is that the new Sheep Mountain Wilderness boundary on Blue Ridge precludes driving to Columbine to retrieve a car--making for a very long hike with a lot more gain (about 3000'). | | Posted Jun 1, 2008 5:46 pm |
