| From Taylor's North Slopes | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Powell Peak's North Face Snowfields seen from the north slopes of Taylor Peak. We climbed the leftmost couloir, which had no cornice and was less exposed to sunlight. It's a long, moderate climb in fantastic alpine scenery. Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. April 2007.

Voted 10/10 | This is a nice perspective on the N. face of Powell. It really shows that the Powell Snowfields (to the right) are distinct from the "Powell Couloir" in the center. Maybe this is academic, but the two routes have a very different feel. | | Posted Apr 30, 2007 4:17 pm |

Hasn't voted | I guess we'll have to go back and experience the different feel of the right branch--once that humongous cornice is out of the way. | | Posted May 1, 2007 10:13 am |
