Me atop the slightly lower summit of Mt. Shasta, the absolute summit is just to my left. My true summit shot is in the trip report, this is just a user profile image not a duplicate on the Shasta page. Photo by Ryan Bello

Yes it is,

I chose this photo because I'm wearing somewhat of an odd combo of clothing. I have AT boots on with tall ski socks, and nylon shorts. This combo actually covered my whole legs when they were straight but would expose my knees when I bent them - the sunburn is still there 1 year later and looks hilarious (like I got chemical burn just on my knees!).

On top I'm wearing polypro, a windshell and (you guessed it) a Patagonia DAS.

The temperature dropped dramatically after this shot was taken and I remained comfortable for a long time in that. Eventually I also donned mountain hardwear Chugach pants (my belay pant) and epic'ed on down Mt. Shasta on my skis.

Love that jacket,

-Scotty
