Rounding the corner from the lush meadow area (8000 feet), you see this lunar like landscape of the backside of Sacajawea (false summit to the right and the upper Thorp Creek area with the light colored granite of the Matterhorn in the backgroun although you can't see the summit of the Matterhorn in this pic
