| The Gulf of Slides | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
As seen from The Glen Boulder Trail at about 4,200 ft. The summit observatory on Mt. Washington can be seen at center. Photo taken 06/16/07. Of interest the black flies were out in force and despite a gentle breeze we became food, even with 100% deet on.

Voted 10/10 | If concerned about DEET, consider Old Time Woodsmans- powerful stuff since 1880 sans DEET | | Posted Jun 18, 2007 3:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | I'll give it a whirl cuz deet was more like whip cream on a sundae than repellant! | | Posted Jun 18, 2007 9:10 pm |
| tdogge | DEET | |
Hasn't voted | 100% deet is for wusses...I just cover myself with bear spray and, naturally, it keeps the flying insects away too ;) | | Posted Jun 20, 2007 10:04 pm |

Hasn't voted | just remeber when we are out in Colorado that I dont have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you or the girls. Something tells me you'll make a great mate with all that bear spray on!
