Falco tinnunculus [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Falco tinnunculus
I learned this is what we call in Slovenian language 'navadna postovka', falco tinnunculus. The guy was not scared at all, so I could have time to take pictures galore. Expersts say he is grown enough to survive if no enemy catches him. So it was ok when I left him where he was - near Zarica canyon of Sava river. June, 2007.

You're welcome, Barbara :)
I'm not an expert for such pictures and also don't have any special equipment. But this guy was posing so kindly...

"Tårnfalk", meaning "Tower Falcon" since they prefer to roost in church towers, there being no mountains. Still they are very common in Denmark.

I think they are characteristic for hovering in the air perfectly still, then they suddenly drop down if spotting a prey.
