It looks like a small lenticular cloud just above the mountain and below the stratus clouds. A lot happening there....2 thumbs up. | | Posted Oct 9, 2003 12:52 am |

Hasn't voted | I've enjoyed going through all your shots. It was so easy to give them all 4 stars... all are truly exceptional shots. Do you attribute the vibrant colors to the Ektachrome film? Have you used any color enhancement on any of your shots? | | Posted Jun 15, 2004 11:34 am |

I attribute the colors mostly to Mother Nature :), but also alot to Fuji Velvia film!! Really brings out the saturation.
The picture above has not had any manipulation to it at all except the normal scanning process. This was by far the best sunset I've seen in Colorado in the 13 years I've lived here.
I occasionally use 81A and 81B warming filters, and maybe a polarizer, but that's about it for filters. | | Posted Jul 10, 2004 12:03 am |

Hasn't voted | Yes, I have shot with Velvia and really like it for nature shots- but mostly because it does so well with the cool colors. Now I see it does a lot better then I thought with the warm colors too. It does get great saturation though. I had a rule of thumb... if you are going to shoot green- use the green box (fuji). If you are going to shoot warm- use the orange box (kodak). But it doesnt matter now as I am heading for Colorado in the morning and only taking a digital.
