Looking north at the real (according to locals), un-labeled Lentz Peak that is just North-West of Big Cherry Lake and South-East of the USGS-(mistakenly?) labeled Lentz Peak. Cabinet Mountain Wilderness.

Hasn't voted | Actually this picture depicts one of my favorite climbs. The peak shown in this picture is believed to be the actual Lentz Peak. Locals suggest the USGS had it all wrong on the maps which is not uncommon for this area due to it's remoteness. | | Posted Jan 11, 2008 11:52 pm |

I've been told by a legendary climber/scrambler/hiker from Noxon that this is, indeed, Lentz Peak.
