| Chimney Rock A | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
The route up Chimney Rock A. 4 pitches are in the crack, then one more almost horizontal pitch to get you over an airy gully near the summit. The route is rated at 5.6, but is very loose, runout, and dangerous.

Voted 10/10 | for sure! But would be a worthy tick. Nice shot, I really like when pics have the routes in them, helps a lot.

Hasn't voted | Thanks, I doubt I would do it again because of the rockfall, but it was fun since the weather was good and we had all day. | | Posted Jul 8, 2007 2:07 am |

Voted 10/10 | What´s the approach like? And, at the end of the day, the descent? I can wel imagine the stress factor is pretty high.
Cheers

Hasn't voted | The approach was nasty. We had one low 5th class pitch, then a 3rd class pitch that was like climbing on pure shit where everything you touched crumbled. Before that was the steep bushwhack with lots of maneating mosquitos.
3 rappels to get off the crack, then 2 more to get off the approach. We're lucky the rope didn't get snagged but somehow we got it down after finishing the rappels. | | Posted Jul 8, 2007 2:08 am |

Voted 10/10 | well done! The old story eh..often getting to and from the climbs is more harrowing than the thing itself! :o))
