Isosceles Peak [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Isosceles Peak
Isosceles Peak with Thunderbolt, Starlight and North Palisade in the background - July 2007

I used a combo of circular polarizer and graduated neutral density filters to get the exposure and saturation.

peninsulaCamped Near There

Voted 9/10

Misha, another great shot. I camped very near this spot a few years back. I really like Dusy Basin. One of my favorites. I only gave you a 9 on this composition because I think the sky is a bit over-saturated.

It is good to hear the skeeters are on the decline!

Thanks. This is a glorious place to camp. We stayed near the lake closer to the trail but next time I am there, I'd like to be closer to Isosceles. Thanks for the note about the sky. It does look a bit oversaturated on one of my LCDs. Although, I did not do anything special for it besides using a circular polarizer for this shot. That is probably why it turned out this way. In general, skies are painful to look at in Dusy Basin sometimes - they are so very blue.
