nobody can say that it's too little. It was a good chunk of happiness, that's what we should remember.

Very cute pooch, no doubt one of your great loves. One of my 13 y/o iguanas died not long ago - sure took a chunk out of me. Sorry for your loss.

PS - did he climb BCS with you?

Sorry to hear about your loss too Deb. Nope, Clyde never made it up BCS. He did get up Lookout Peak, Treasure Peak, Pipsqueak Spire (except the summit boulder), Mount Huntington and Mount Stanford out of the Rock Creek trailheads though.

Very sad, but also very cool to have a buddy like that. Any new puppies in the works?

Yes indeed it was very cool to have such a friend. I cannot think about a puppy yet, although I enjoyed playing with one yesterday.

Heaven’s Doggy Door

My best friend closed his eyes last night,
As his head was in my hand.
The doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I carried him in my arms,
Were of his younger puppy years,
And oh…his many charms.

Today there was no gentle nudge
With an intense “I love you” gaze,
Only a heart that’s filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, “You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
He’s installed a doggy door!”
