This spectacular peak, UN 12,968, has the unofficial name "Dragon's Back." It lies within the Uncompahgre Wilderness near Wildhorse Peak and Blackwall Mountain. September 1, 2007

This is the best picture I've seen of this peak. Did you climb it? I've been interested in it for a few years now.

Hi Bob! Thanks for the vote and the comment. I tried to climb it -- I spent about an hour on the peak and attempted three different lines -- but I never found anything that I was comfortable with unroped. I had other peaks on the agenda that day, so I didn't spend too much time searching around. I've heard it goes fourth-class with some exposure.
