| Canalone Marinelli | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
the higher part of the Route on the East wall
with the 3 different exits
in winter, with very low temperature, the middle part can be climbed, faster, directly in the channel (without using the leaped ridge on its left)
on the left, in the big rocky bulwark, you can see a very big band of rock a little lighter in colour, this is the where the big fall detached some years ago, now the direct routes to Punta Zumstein (the iced summit on the left) do not exist anymore (for not foolish climbers)

those routes are not so difficult, could be considered D (France/UIAA rating) but are very long and not safe ... | | Posted Nov 13, 2007 5:17 am |

Voted 10/10 | Thanks for the very good picture, very useful. It's my dream to do the Marinelli one day, and hopefully ski it down. | | Posted Jan 9, 2008 5:02 am |

Hasn't voted | could be very fine
the only doubt is the lower part, I don't know how are the crevasses at the base, once there was a labyrinth :)
