Cerro Fitz Roy (3375m - Patagonia/Argentina) [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Cerro Fitz Roy (3375m - Patagonia/Argentina)
View of the Fitz Roy seen on the trail leading to Loma del Pliegue Tumbado (1540m).

Fitz Roy is also know as "El Chalten", the smoking mountain (name given by the native indians), as clouds often get stuck on the summit. It was first ascended in 1952 by two great French climbers : Guido Magnone and Lionel Terray.

You've got a good eye ! It wasn't a storm, but later this afternoon the whole range got covered in clouds. Frequent there.
