Kantega from Taweche Towers [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Kantega from Taweche Towers
Taweche Towers is a stunning, but little known, viewpoint not far off the blazed trail to Everest Basecamp. It is approximately 5000metres above sea level, but I have never seen a map with the location or elvation shown accurately.

that was exactly the same feeling I had at the time. Up high on a narrow rock ridge, surrounded by giants, it is a fantastic place

thanks for the kind words, and your generous vote. I hope I get chance to go back to Taweche Towers one day. I often wonder if many other people have been there, but it is never mentioned in mountain literature

Thanks for the kind words Ivona. I totally agree with your sentiments about mountains, they help to put the world in perspective. The trouble is that there are more beautiful places than time to visit them all, we can only try ha ha.

yes it was a really over-powering place to be Breagen. We'd scrambled up to these pinnacles, with a birds eye view of the Khumbu, and yet we were still overlooked by huge peaks
