Zen Wall, 5.10-5.13d [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Zen Wall, 5.10-5.13d
On the return from the Zen Wall to Green Valley Gap, view of Utah Hills in the background. There are just under 40 sport routes on Zen Wall featured in Todd Goss’s new edition guide book, Rock Climbs of Southwest Utah. This 2nd edition was published in 2006 and I highly recommend it. Todd Perkins started the development of Zen Wall. The grading seems a tad soft compared to Black Rocks, Chuckawalla Wall, etc.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
