Late Fall Color on Maddron Bald Trail [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Late Fall Color on Maddron Bald Trail
This picture was taken on the Maddron Bald Trail, near (but not in) the Albright Grove of old-growth trees. These are obviously second-growth, but it was nice of them to lean over to light up a gap in the canopy.

Photo taken in mid-November 2007, past the peak in color at mid-elevation here. Many spots were still pretty, and the low elevations still had a lot of color.

"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."   --Ernest Hemingway
