Sloan Peak's summit cliffs... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Sloan Peak's summit cliffs...
Sloan Peak's summit cliffs from the NNE on July 14, 1995. The Sloan Glacier is visible at left. From the broad ridge crest north of the glacier, there is a gradual transition from firn to glacier. You want to cross the glacier and bear toward the buttress coming down from the summit at left. Incidentally, the summit is not the tower at right but the flat top at left.
