	Hasn't voted	Hi Icarreau, thanks for your comment. I think there is another foto somewhere showing about 6 guys perching on the cantilever, so I think I was pretty safe. We tend to stand up there each time we go up onto the Glyders, its a kind of tradition. cheers Johnnie

Lived in Wales for three years and I love pics like these brings the memories back. I always wanted to do a hand stand on the Cantilever but never got round to it.

Hi Mark,
thanks for your note, It is a magic place on top of the Glyders and the Cantilever is like an old friend when you reach the ridge.
One of my trip reports has a picture of the cannon on Tryfan I did try and stand on the end of it but I kept sliding back down. I have seen a foto of someone standing on top of it somewhere, maybe it was in Nanuls images.
