The valley [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
The valley
The valley you have to walk to reach Jiao Feng. It's about 10km down to the main road (Xinjiang Highway). In the background: The "Sirenshou" massif, where the highest peak is about 6200m. When I was in the area, the river was empty of water. I can imagine it can be tricky to even make it to the foot of the peak in spring/the melt off season. You're here looking SSW.

Thanks for the appreciation Karrar.
The area looks a bit like some of Northern Pakistan I think. The dry valleys and the snow capped peaks in the distance. A difference is the peaks in your back yard is usually more rugged and rough looking.
