Hasn't voted | Grazie Fabrizio! Actually I have made so many Jalovec pictures on that day that I missed this one. Last week it rushed by on my screen saver and I thought: "wait a minute, what was that?".
I should pay more attention to my screen saver :-) | | Posted Dec 16, 2007 5:28 am |

Hasn't voted | And as you can see to the right of the picture, Vid attached it to a route, which goes up that face making use of ledges to get to the top.
Thanks | | Posted Dec 16, 2007 10:11 am |
| Jeroen Vels | Great shot | |
Voted 10/10 | Are these recent conditions gangolf?
Cheers | | Posted Dec 16, 2007 11:00 am |
 | | Gangolf Haub | Re: Great shot | |
Hasn't voted | No, not recent - September 19th (as the caption suggests ;-)). We had a day of thunderstorms on Sept 18th when a real lot of rain and snow came down. Most of it melted away again but by the end of September another bad weather window deposited half a metre oof snow on the Julians. | | Posted Dec 16, 2007 11:10 am |

| Ejnar Fjerdingstad | Very impressive | |
Voted 10/10 | photo. One would image much taller peaks. | | Posted Dec 16, 2007 12:38 pm |
 | | Gangolf Haub | Re: Very impressive | |
Hasn't voted | Thanks Ejnar. I think it's the dark sky which gives you the impression. We usually don't see this type of sky at our elevations in the alps. A bit of snow and a polarization filter will do the trick, however | | Posted Dec 17, 2007 9:30 am |
| Lee Stamm | Wonderful | |
Hasn't voted | Starkly beautiful and crisp. I can almost feel the wind. Ausgetzeichnet! | | Posted Dec 16, 2007 5:56 pm |
 | | Gangolf Haub | Re: Wonderful | |
Hasn't voted | Actually it wasn't that windy that day. I can't say about the summit as I wasn't there but these clouds hovered around Jalovec the whole day. Some mintes before it still looked like this | | Posted Dec 17, 2007 9:32 am |
